What metadata can I edit?
Descriptive fields (title, description, author, copyright, keywords), rating, orientation, date taken, GPS coordinates and software tags — read from and written to EXIF, XMP, IPTC and PNG text chunks, whichever the image supports.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Parsing and writing happen entirely inside your browser. Your pictures never leave your device.
Which formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and HEIC. Reading works for all of them; writing follows each format's rules — JPEG gets full EXIF/XMP support, while PNG updates existing text chunks and WebP updates existing EXIF/XMP blocks.
Can I remove GPS location from my photos?
Yes — tick GPS location in the Remove Metadata section, or use the Remove GPS preset. The coordinates are erased from every store (EXIF, XMP and IPTC) before your edits are applied.
Does editing metadata change my image quality?
No. Only metadata blocks are rewritten — the image pixels are copied byte for byte, so quality, dimensions and colors stay exactly the same.
